Sweden-based company Ecolean has partnered with Alpura to add aseptic flexible packages to the Mexico-based dairy group's product line. Now, the cooking cream Media Crema is available in both 125 ml and 200 ml Air Aseptic packages in all retail channels across the country.

The package is easy to use

According to the dairy company, which reportedly processes around 3,5 million liters of milk per day and sells more than 100 products, it added the aseptic flexible packaging because the package is easy to use and has a low environmental impact. The package is said to make cooking easy as it reportedly is easy to open, pour and store, and there is no spilling since the package stands up. The package also is said to help reduce food waste since it can be completely flattened, helping to use every last drop of product.

Filling up to 12,000 packages per hour

According to the Swedish company, their flexible packages are almost half the weight compared to many traditional packaging formats, and contain up to 35% chalk. Using fewer raw materials from the start to save energy during production, transport and waste handling. Its filling equipment, the EL4+ machine producing the 125 ml and 200 ml packages, reportedly uses minimal resources and fills up to 12,000 portion-sized packages per hour.
