Schubert surpasses sales mark for the first time

Gerhard Schubert GmbH, based in Germany, will continue its growth course in 2018. With an increase in sales of 7.3 % (EUR 211.5 million), the toploading packaging machine manufacturer was once again able to close the past fiscal year successfully. For the first time, the manufacturer broke through the targeted 200 million mark. The Group also showed a strong result last year. Compared to the previous year, consolidated group sales increased significantly by 16.4 % to a total of EUR 283.9 million.

Rising demand abroad

The subsidiaries were also able to report consistently positive economic results. At 77.7 million US dollars, sales at Schubert North America more than doubled compared with the previous year. In addition, the company strengthened its activities in China last year by founding Schubert Robotics Shanghai and is driving forward future-oriented projects for the digital packaging world and the robotics sector in its domestic company.

Targets for 2019

"In the current year, we are planning further growth to a turnover of 225 million euros", says Peter Gabriel, Commercial Managing Director. The group of companies has also set itself new objectives: in 2019 it could even exceed the turnover mark of 300 million euros for the first time. The Crailsheim location has been named Factory of the Year 2018 in Germany, and 30 million euros are to be invested in future projects there in the current year.
