SEA: new headquarters to be built
The SEA Vision Group has kicked off construction work for its new headquarters in Pavia, Italy, last week. The new building will comprise offices, software development, R&D and production on 4,000 sqm. Its inauguration is planned for autumn 2020. According to the company, the overall investment is about 8 million euros.
The construction has been conceived with a changeable way of working in mind, with outward open spaces and flexible subdivisions that satisfies the continuous changes typical of the business. Particular attention to the environment reportedly characterizes the project, thanks to the use of new technologies with zero emissions.
"The construction of the headquarters - as well as enabling appropriate staff organization and therefore the capacity for production expansion - lays the foundations for a further increase in R&D investments in the field of Industrial Vision, 4.0 technologies, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning," said Luigi Carrioli, President of the group.
Marchesini owns 48%
SEA Vision was founded in 1995 as a university spin-off in 1995. The company is a provider of pharmaceutical inspection and serialization systems employing about 175 people, a number which is said to be growing continually. Last year, Italian machinery manufacturer Marchesini Group acquired a 48% share of the company.
