On course for further growth

After extensive investments in the recent years, the demand for products from the Czech plant Ejpovice of the pharmaceutical packaging manufacturer Rondo, Switzerland, continued to increase. Therefore, the machine park was again extended by two machines. A new punching machine and a gluing line complete the existing lines. At the end of last year, the company commissioned a Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106 there.

Capacity expansion and more flexibility

With the VisionCut 106 LER punching machine and the Expertfold 80 gluing line, both from the manufacturer Bobst, the company relied on established finishing machines. Additional modules are said make it possible to produce complex folding cartons even more efficiently. In terms of security and quality, the latest monitoring technologies are used to meet the increasing demands of the pharmaceutical industry. Parallel to decreasing batch sizes in the production of pharmaceuticals, the number of finishing runs has also been reduced, thus increasing the number of job changes per die cutting and gluing machine. These requirements can now be met with the investment, according to the group.
