A new face at the helm of VR: With Susanne Blüml, VR VerpackungsRundschau has a new editor-in-chief since July 1st. She succeeds Norbert Sauermann, who has been appointed co-publisher of the VR. Maren Oellerich, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, and Thobias Quaß complete the editorial team.

Susanne Blüml holds a degree in business administration and has been active as an author and copy writer in the food and beverage machinery industry as well as the packaging industry for almost 20 years. With a comprehensive overview of the entire value chain from product to logistics, she puts all topics of industrial packaging into perspective. A freelance author for VerpackungsRundschau since 2012, she has gathered news, new developments and technical information for print and online, and has reported on numerous industry events.

Her view of the industry is based on the motto "products will always be packaged“. She also sees a lot of movement for the packaging industry due to today‘s framework conditions, which are being newly defined - for example regarding digitalisation or the recycling discussion. She will convey them to our readers as editor-in-chief while reporting on both packaging materials and packaging machines.

The VR publishers wish Susanne Blüml every success for the exciting new tasks ahead of her!
